What Is Hazard Insurance?
Hazard insurance is the part of a property policy that covers physical damage to your home or building from perils like fire, wind, and hail. The term is used mostly by U.S. mortgage lenders; in Ontario it is simply the property-damage portion of a standard home or commercial policy.
